F.A.Q.

What scenarios do the books cover?

The series considers the various survival situations that a civilian might encounter during a zombie emergency, all the way from a minor outbreak, through to a pandemic, an apocalypse and even into a post-apocalypse. Note that these books are useful in many other scenarios too — if you can learn to survive a zombie apocalypse you have a much better chance in many other situations as well! They are also super helpful for other applications such as zombie studies, prepping, home survival, homesteading, camping (including stealth camping), bushcraft, hiking, other outdoor pursuits, etc.

How useful are these books?

All of them are very practical. The author and his assistants have carried out basic testing on various survival methods and purchasable items. And the guides also contain instructions for improvising many survival related items yourself, without the need for any overly expensive tools or materials.

The books are soundly based in realism, but with a zombie background to add entertainment and keep the mood lighter in tone. Myths are busted and tropes investigated on a regular basis. There is also a good dose of zombie info and some new theories about them as well.

Each book contains a huge wealth of detail, so much so that they can be used as key reference works. If you are interested in any of the topics contained within you should find these guides very useful for your research.

All of the books also feature an extensive Resources section. Depending on which book you get, this can contain: Frequently Asked Questions, First Aid, Knot Tying and/or Unit Conversion sections. They also have lists of any films, television series or other media that are referred to in the text. And there is an extensive Glossary of zombie-related terminology in every book! The books also have a guide to using them, contents pages, an index, references, etc. Proper text books indeed!
